Zach will be ordained on Saturday, May 24th at 10am at Our Lady of Sorrows in Vestal which is his home parish. Generally, a candidate of Priesthood will spend about one year as a deacon doing ordained ministry. He will baptize, witness marriages, assist at Mass and preach. This ministry of service is essential in the life of the Church and also in the growth of the candidate for Priesthood. Upon his ordination, Deacon Miller will serve for a summer in a parish in the Diocese of Syracuse and then return for his last year of seminary at St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore, MD in the Fall.
Deacon Jason Hage will be ordained to the Priesthood on Saturday, June 7th at 10am at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse. Deacon Hage has graduated from St. Mary’s Seminary and University and is about to complete his year of diaconal ministry. Upon his ordination to the Priesthood, Fr. Hage will likely be assigned to a parish somewhere in the Diocese of Syracuse. So look around…a new, young priest may be coming to a parish near you!
Please pray for Zach and for Deacon Hage and for an increase in vocations to the Priesthood!
